Dr. Nathan Thompson
Dr. Nathan Thompson came to Prescott Dentistry in the summer of 2012 after having served honorably for 5 years in the US Army as both an officer (captain) and dentist. During his time in the service, he was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas and also served overseas in both Iraq (Baghdad – Camp Liberty of the Victory Base Complex) and in Germany (Ansbach, Bavaria).
While in Germany Dr. Thompson received extensive orthodontic training during a one-year internship and has completed hundreds of orthodontic cases (both traditional bracket/wire and Invisalign). As an Invisalign “Preferred Provider” Dr. Thompson has provided Invisalign treatment to many in our community including several of our team here at Prescott Dentistry!
Prior to his military service, Dr. Thompson received his dental training at USC where he trained 1-on-1 with the best BIOMIMETIC dental instructors in the country. Dr. Thompson’s training focus was in advanced bonded composites, porcelains and minimally-invasive restorative procedures. He is also a proud NAU (Northern Arizona University) Lumberjack, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry focusing on Organic Chemistry and teaching in the “O-Chem” lab as a Teaching Assistant for three years. On his down time, Dr. Thompson volunteers with youth of his church and the Boy Scouts of America. He spends as much quality time as possible with his beautiful wife and five children.
