18 Oct International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine Annual Conference – October 2018
While at the 3 day International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM) conference, Dr. German learned more about the whole body influences of oral health and oral disease and the impact that of the oral environment on systemic health. The mouth is the gateway to the body. This is true from microbiome and foods, to airway and materials. Dr. German particularly enjoyed this conference because of his passion for studying what he feels is the most important aspect of his chosen profession: the whole body approach to Dentistry. He was able to refine his knowledge and dig deeper into the whole body systemic effects of oral disease by studying the mouth as a part of the whole body.
One of the sessions that Dr. German particularly enjoyed learning more about was the place that Vitamin C has in dentistry. At Prescott Dentistry, we use Vitamin C as a standard protocol when removing amalgam fillings on our patients to help them heal and boost their immune systems after removing the toxic material.
