Why are Probiotics Important for Our Health?
Probiotics help keep our digestive system healthy and full of the good bacteria we need to digest our food properly. But were you aware that probiotics are also good for our dental health? Some sources say they can help reduce gum bleeding, while others have found that probiotics can actually reduce the risk of cavities (Colgate, 2018). Currently, there’s a lot of research being conducted on the impact of probiotics on dental health. At Prescott Dentistry, we also partner with producers of EvoraPro, a probiotic specific for reestablishing a healthy bacterial balance in the oral cavity. Did you know that gum disease and dental decay are all caused by an unhealthy balance of bacteria? Using dental-specific probiotics can go a long way towards combating these diseases.
If you’re interested in finding alternative methods to make your own digestive probiotics, we highly recommend attending The Art of Brewing Your Own Kombucha, as a fun and educational way to learn about strengthening and improving your physical health. If you want to learn more about this natural way to improve your dental health, come to Prescott Dentistry for a cleaning and consultation regarding dental probiotics.
