30 Aug Doce Pit Trash Cleanup Event in Prescott
If you haven’t yet figured it out, our staff at Prescott Dentistry is community-oriented. We believe creating a quality of life within our citizenry is an important part of building a positive society. Whether it’s going to summer concerts, participating in volunteer days at local food banks, or activities centered around the outdoors, we value the sense of community that happens when we’re out and about with other people in the city. Thankfully, Prescott happens to be a community-oriented and outdoorsy town, so we fit right into the local culture. For this week’s blog post, we’d like to share an event that will help keep Prescott an outdoorsy town: the Doce Pit Trash Cleanup Event. Want to contribute to the people and environment of our city? This event is a great opportunity!
Doce Pit Trash Cleanup Event
What: People all across Prescott can enjoy a community event that benefits the public lands in Prescott: The Doce Pit Trash Cleanup Event. Participants meet at the Doce Pit. Volunteers will collect trash on public lands, to keep them safe and clean, and to enable continued enjoyment by community members. Since most of the area is graded and safe for smaller vehicles (SUVs or sedans), everyone is welcomed. But those with off-highway vehicles and 4×4 vehicles are also needed, so the sections that aren’t graded can be reached and cleaned. All ages are encouraged to attend, but people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
When: Saturday, September 1st from 9:00am to 1:00pm
Where: Doce Pit, off of Forest Road 9271A, by Mile Marker 8.
Cost: You’ll be glad to know this event is absolutely free to all volunteers!
Anyone who lives in Prescott can confirm that our community is a fine city. And many of our Prescott residents love spending their free time out on the trails with their dogs, family, and friends. What better way to spend a Saturday morning by preserving and cleaning up the land we all use and enjoy. We invite you to join us in growing a healthy sense of community cooperation by participating in The Doce Pit Trash Cleanup Event in Prescott. It’s a great way to meet members of the community, to provide much needed trail care, and to simply help keep Prescott beautiful. We hope to see some of our patients at this Prescott clean up event!
